Violin Lessons

I am and experienced and caring teacher and would love to help students learn the violin. Learning how to play the violin is an exhilarating and rewarding experience. It is a new journey everyday, one which is difficult to undertake without the guidance of a teacher. Because of this, I offer my services as a teacher and mentor to budding new violinists of all ages. Teachers are there to provide students with musical and technical insights by drawing on their own experience of learning the violin.

Studio Openings:

Currently, I'm accepting students into my small, private studio of the beginner to intermediate level.

Teaching Philosophy:

I want to give each student a solid technical and musical background. It is also my goal to teach every student how to practice so they know what to do outside of lessons. I hope to see students develop a regimen of intelligent and consistent daily practice involving a good mixture of technical exercises and violin literature.

Materials Used:

For beginning violinists, I like to use the Wolfhart Etudes and the early Suzuki Books, supplemented by other materials when needed. However, I am not a trained Suzuki teacher, but merely a fan of the materials. For intermediate violinists, I assign materials consistent with their current abilities including scales, etudes and repertoire.

30 minute lesson-$15.00

45 minute lesson-$22.50

60 minute lesson-$30.00

The minimum lesson time is 30 minutes, though, in special circumstances, shorter lessons can be arranged given the age or needs of the individual student.
