Typography.
I really enjoyed this week's topic. It's not very often I actually have the opportunity to consider it as part of design work. Since I work for Kent State, the branding guidelines for typefaces and fonts are fairly strict, and most of time I can only use the specified ones in my designs. It was refreshing to work on the assignment and go through the thought process of selecting typeface families and fonts.
I also found it to be a fun yet challenging project to select good typeface families. However, having access to Adobe Typekit was very beneficial as it gave me a lot of options for searching for different typefaces. It also allowed me to see examples of many in different situations, including weights, width and size. A very well-designed tool to facilitate the typography selection process.
I'm looking forward to our final week as we delve into User Personas.
